Orange

In Seville (Spain), the Bitter Orange is the symbol of the city. In the heat of heart of the winter, the smoothness of the Mediterranean climate allows that the orange tree fill of fruits, like authentic suns that illuminate the streets and orchards of Seville. It is there where the Bitter Orange takes shelter, call Orange of Seville, of smooth and revitalizing perfume.

 

These trees give their fruit of December to February. The oranges are very appreciated and its skin is used to perfume the houses. In Christmas, to give oranges is an exceptional and precious gift. In Seville the harvest comprises of one long tradition. The women cut the pieces of rind of this fruit in form of borders that later hang in orchards and fields.
